Iran has announced that it evacuated key nuclear sites ahead of recent US airstrikes, a decision that may have averted a major crisis.

Reported by Iranian state media, the US targeted the Fordow nuclear facility and carried out attacks near the Natanz and Isfahan sites. However, Iranian officials claim there were no radioactive materials at those locations during the attacks.

“We were prepared for the possibility of an attack,” an Iranian official said. “All sensitive materials were removed ahead of time. There was nothing at the sites that could have caused a radioactive leak.”

The announcement comes at a time when tensions are rising in the region, with the US expressing continued concerns about Iran’s nuclear ambitions. Despite the attacks worsening the situation, Iran claims there were no casualties or leaks due to the proactive evacuation.

Additionally, Iran reported that some airstrikes were halted and stressed that the country was “fully prepared” for any further action.
