However, on July 15, 2025, she finds herself in the middle of a very scary headline.
What happened on the AVE train?
While traveling from Barcelona to Madrid on Spain’s high-speed AVE train, Marta became the victim of a robbery—an incident that is now the talk of the town on social media and Google Trends.
According to Marta’s own account, she had just settled into her seat and placed her carry-on suitcase in the overhead bin. Moments later, a man in a suit, who had been eyeing her suspiciously, snatched her luggage and fled.
But then Marta’s story took an unexpected turn.
Brave chase and luggage recovery
A fellow passenger yelled out to Marta that someone had stolen her suitcase. Without thinking, the influencer ran after the thief and successfully retrieved her bag, just in time for the thief to flee before the train left.
Although Marta was shaken, she was unharmed and later expressed her gratitude to the unidentified passenger who raised the alarm and the AVE staff who helped her along the way.
She wrote emotionally on her Instagram Stories, “Thank you to the guy in the hat—I will always be grateful to you.”
